SafeTrace helps families and trusted contacts know each other are okay. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect, why, and what you can do about it.

What we collect

  • Your phone number, name, and timezone — your phone number is how you log in.
  • Your circle — the names and phone numbers of people you’ve added.
  • Your check-ins — when they were due, when you confirmed, when you missed.
  • Push device tokens — so we can deliver the daily reminder.
  • Emergency dispatches — when you trigger one, with any note or location you choose to attach.

We do not collect background location. Location is only included in an emergency dispatch when you opt in to share it for that one event.

How we use it

  • Send your daily check-in, your reminders, and your fallback alerts.
  • Authenticate you with an SMS code.
  • Keep the service working and secure.

We don’t sell your data. We don’t use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

  • Twilio — to send SMS and phone-call fallbacks.
  • Firebase Cloud Messaging — to deliver push notifications.
  • AWS — to host the service.
  • Payment providers — only the minimum needed to charge you, when you upgrade.

Your rights

You can review and edit your circles, contacts, and schedule from inside the app at any time. To delete your account, email privacy@safetrace.io from the phone number on the account. We delete or anonymise your data within 30 days.
